Hi Mita... You'll need to speak with your medical provider regarding your medication since your doctor would know your particular health issues and whether or not you can stop your medication.

Hi I am 25 years old and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism last year with TSH values 111µIU/ml. I've been on thyroxine tablets since then, however I hadn't been taking them for a month now. Now, I am intolerant to cold very, with severe headaches like sinus headaches and fall ill frequently. Could this be the TSH values going up again? Is there any way I can stop the medication?

A LOT of people tend to over cook their veggies, to the point where they've not only boiled out ALL possible nutrients, but now it no longer looks like something you would want to eat! Especially broccoli, for whatever reason. Instead of that beautiful dark green color it becomes a brownish green color. Maybe because they've boiled it to death.

Unfortunately, even small amounts of these foods will affect the conversion of T3 to T4....
Cooking vegetables is not hard if you steam them rather than soak away all the nutritients...overcooking is more the problem! The goal should be use the lowest amount of a medication to get the max benefit combined with dietary modification, such as avoiding raw versions of the above foods. The weight issue has a lot to do with the processing of food for shelf life stabilization and distribution. It's not an easy situation to solve as cost leads to overprocessed food choices, but in effect, we are starving our bodies of nutrients.

The problem here is drugs go totally against nature you only have to look at what Hippocrates taught "let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food. Interesting you have listed just the produce that a sufferer would want to eat and juice the help them cure HT. The thyroid may temporarily cleanse eating/juicing these foods raw but that is the idea if you want to get to the root of the thyroid problem Using them in small doses might be a better way to use them to rid yourself of the toxins slowly so the cleansing does not come on so strong. Cooking vegetables is also part of the problem as it destroys just what your body is looking for. You have to choose a direction, go with drugs for the rest of your life or go with nature as God intended and cure your disease. But choosing has become so difficult because the natural practitioners and their voice have been restricted so strongly in the United States despite freedom of speech and choice. Look around you it is obvious that we are in trouble we are the fattest country in the world now, 70% of us; that is a food problem. Paul
