New research by Cardiologists David Becker, M.D. and Ram Gordon, M.D., published in Annals of Internal Medicine, may provide alternative treatment option for statin-intolerant patients
An over-the-counter dietary supplement sold at pharmacies and health food stores may be an alternative for patients who cannot take traditional statin medications to lower cholesterol because of statin-related muscle pain. The findings of their study, “Red Yeast Rice for Dyslipidemia in Statin-Intolerant Patients,” appear in the June 16, 2009 issue of Annals of Internal Medicine. Read more
The Doctors Know Best …NOT

This thought was provoked by your “Government Forced Chemo” post.
Of course we all know that doctors know what is best for us and how long we have to live. Afterall I was told at 24 that I would never live to see 30 if I didn’t go under doctors care for the lupus. Even though I didn’t and that birthday passed almost 30 years ago … weren’t they right? Read more
Energy Medicine

Energy medicine is becoming more and more popular as people begin to look towards complementary and alternative healing options to provide relief, prevention, and faster recovery time from their ailments. Energy health practitioners work with the subtle energy matrix that the human being is built upon. It represents the entire individual - his or her emotions, thoughts, beliefs, physicality, potential, etc. Energy medicine approaches the individual as a complex and unique system, and by doing so, encourages and empowers patients to view their health as a lifelong journey which incorporates every aspect of their being. What Do The Reiki Symbols Mean?
I received an email the other day asking me to “explain, exactly, each line used in the Reiki kanji.” I thought this was an interesting, and unique, question. Of course, the answer will greatly depend on the Reiki Master/Teacher being asked, and which Tradition they follow. With that said, here are my own answers: Read more
An Angel A Day Keeps The Doctors Away!
The Angels are waiting on us! They cannot just butt into our lives unless we ASK them to. And they LOVE to be asked!
There isn’t much I don’t do without first asking for some form of Angelic companionship. For instance, whenever I get into my car, before I even turn the key, I say a simple ‘prayer/chant’ … “through the Mighty I AM Presence I call upon Angels of Protection to guide me on my journey” … 3 times, then end it with “So Be It … I AM”
This little prayer has not only kept my car, with almost bald tires, on an icy road during one of our freezing rain storms, but has saved me from many, many, many accidents.
I use the same chant with any help I may need like Angels of Compassion if I have a tough situation and people to deal with, or Healing Angels if I am having a really bad day. I’ve even asked for Angel Mechanics when my car was acting up real bad and didn’t think I was going to make it through a trip.
Of course one need not be specific, the right one will come. Nor use my prayer. Create your own. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to thank them! It’s just nice to be curteous.
An Angel Is…
I have been lovingly prodded by my sister Terri to update my “Angle Talks” and so I sit here, pen in hand, waiting for some Angelic prod as to what I should write. Perhaps they need to use a cattlle prod to get my brain in gear today!
Once all the technical stuff is covered like ranks, dominions… etc., it seems the only thing left is sharing experiences. There is one clarification to make that seems to still confuse some and that is the difference between the dearly departed and Angels.
Although the idea that our loved ones become Angels when they leave us is a comforting idea, it is not a true one. We do not “become” Angels even if we have lived an “Angelic” life in our human form. I hate to disappoint people but the simple fact is: an Angel is, always was, and always will be an Angel. The same goes for us Humans - we are what we are, and whether in physical or Spiritual form, human is the vessel we have been given.
The closest we can get would be to become a “Saint,” but even that would be a misconception as “Sainthood” is not a creation from The Universe, God/Goddess, All That Is, but a concept created by religion and churches. As humans some of us hope to aspire to “become Angels” when in reality that would kind of be a step backwards from out true potentials even if it were possible.
Angles were created to Guide, Protect and Serve Human kind. Humankind was created to experience all of God’s creations and return to our rightful realization as the Children of the Creator and rightful heirs to All That Is.

How’s this for an Alternative Therapy for Insomnia: Web Therapy… as in the Internet.
An estimated 50 million Americans received a prescription for sleeping pills like Ambien last year when they could have saved all that money, not to mention dealing with the side effects such as diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; “drugged” feeling; dry mouth; headache; nausea; nose or throat irritation; sluggishness; stomach upset. And these are the MILD side effects. A few of the more serious side effects of Ambien include abnormal thinking; behavior changes; chest pain; confusion; decreased coordination; difficulty swallowing or breathing; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; hallucinations; memory problems; and more.
