What does a hospital do with a homeless schizophrenic recently diagnosed as being “dangerously delusional and paranoid?” According to an editorial appearing in yesterday’s LA Times; they dump them off somewhere. Anywhere. A bus stop… the Salvation Army shelter… on the street.  Apparently it doesn’t matter where they dump h/her off.  An investigation uncovered evidence that vans dispatched by the College Hospital chain left as many as 150 mentally ill patients on skid row in the last two years. Now isn’t this a comforting thought.
