Hailey McGuire began having seizures when she was 3 months old. Within two weeks, she was having multiple seizures every day, each lasting from minutes to hours.
Hailey, now 8, suffers from Dravet Syndrome, a rare form of intractable epilepsy that begins in infancy. She has been prescribed a number of strong pharmaceuticals in her young life, but in the last few months, her mother, Tami King, has given her cannabis oil orally, which she says has allowed her daughter to do things she has never been able to do. She said she saw an instant change in Hailey after giving her the first dose of Tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, or THCA.
