I'm so happy to read the "fantastic news" that all is okay and like Sylvia said "u have dense boobs" LOLOL
Your very welcome. *smiles*
I never recv'd an email from you tho, just so u know. You can send me a msg pls thru my profile in here,k...
I haven't been in in weeks. I've had some news aboot my Dad and I've been researching stuff and all. So sorry everyone. I have missed you all.
My Dad had surgery for an "inguinal hernia" on April 4th (monday) and I was kinda worried aboot that. He will be 77 in July and going under anesthesia and all. He was fine. They closed the 3 inch incision with "plastic staples" - 9 of 'em....Such modern technology eh? LOL
He only took 4 tylenol 3's in 3 days for the pain and that's good. The doc also gave him some stool softeners, just in case.
He had called me on the friday nite to tell me aboot the surgery but he also told me some more news. My Dad has been diagnosed with "Parkinson's Disease". I was shocked to hear this. He had known for aboot a month or so and wasnt' going to say anything, but too many "questions" were being asked. (by my siblings who live closer,of course) I said "Dad, u can't hide that, for heaven's sake."
He has "tremors" in his left hand right now and the neurologist has not put him on any meds yet. I had been thinking of going back east to visit him anyhoo a couple of months ago...well, NOW I am going back (towards the end of June) I'll feel better you know by going. It's time. *S*
I've had some ear problems too and have been to see my doctor 3 times now in the last 3 weeks. YIKES!! As of yesterday, finally, she was able to "unblock 'em"...I'll write more on that later.
Thanks and I appreciate any *soothing energy* you send me way. *smiles bigly* |

SOunds like your Dad did well with the surgery. But I know it is always a concern when someone that age goes under the knife. My Dad had a cancerous polyp , and part of his intestine, removed last year and now he has prostrate cancer. He will be having the surgery for that this Thurs. He feels good about the surgery which helps us all keep a positive attitude.
Hope you are feeling better. Take care of that ear!!! |

Hello Tracer, ((((hugs)))))
Thanks. He pulled thru it quite well, considering his age and he has slowed down a lot too. I was still a bit worried Tracer as like u said "going under the knife", & 'being anesthetized'...
Now to deal with the "parkinson's disease" which he has. I do know it's a very gradual, progressive disease and by the research going on, they may find a cure in 5 years, mebbe less. Michael J. Fox's site is great. If you are interested go to www.michaeljfox.org
I do remember Tracer when your Dad had that removed (last year) and I'm sorry to hear that he has prostrate cancer. oohhh the surgery is TODAY, right? I'm saying some prayers and sending him tons of **soothing energy** and some for you too gurl. *S*
That's great he has such a good, positive attitude as that will help you too. How old is your Dad Tracer?
***********
Heck, it was BOTH EARS gurl! Not just one. LOL So far, they are doing okay. Thanks for asking. |
