We have talked about intention, many times on our forum(s). Usually in regards to Reiki. This time, we're going to look at intention in regards to cause and effect. Simply stated, for every cause there is an effect. This is known in physics as the Third Law of Motion; For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. (Newton’s first and second laws of motion deal with force as a cause, and change of motion as its effect.) This universal law determines every sequence in nature, and every sequence in our lives.
When we talk about the intention of the Reiki healer, we're referring to the Reiki energy being directed by the intent of the healer. The intent of the healer is in h/her thoughts. Thoughts are energy. Action is energy at work. Your intentions form your thoughts, and then dictate your actions. Actions create consequences. The pattern is set up as such:
The intention = Desired outcome
The thought = I want/need (this to happen)
The action = I will do ____ in order to get _____
The consequence = the intention
Interspersed amongst our intentions and the consequences is Choice. Life is always a matter of choice, not chance. However, every choice you make gives you the chance to further pave your own path in life.
Different thoughts create different intentions.
Different intentions create different choices.
And different choices create a different life.
So... if you want to create a new life, or if you want to live the life of your dreams, or if you want to make changes in your life, you need to make new choices... and you must fully realize that you alone are responsible for your choices -- the good, the bad, and the ugly.
How do you know whether or not you're taking full responsibility for your choices? If your thoughts begin with "I can't" then you are taking full responsibility for your choices. I was taught that saying "I can't" means "I won't." That being the case, if I want to take full responsibility for my choices and reclaim my person power, I need to simply say, "I won't" -- "I won't do (insert whatever you are being asked to do that you really do not want to do) because I have already (whatever).
What would happen if you took full responsibility for your actions and made your choices with purpose - with the kind of life you want to live in mind?
Fill in this blank: I am choosing not to have the life I want, because I am not willing to ____________________
