News headline, "Acupuncture Doesn't Lower Blood Pressure"

Now HOW can they come to that conclusion when the "study" was done on only 11 volunteers who participated in the 4-week-long study..... groan....

I don't know what I like most about that article.

There's the fact that they are dismissing 1000's of years of research, I mean the chinese developed it and it's still around. Mustn't be any good (Drugs are better)

As you said the immense sample group, but it doesn't say how often the treatment was carried out over the course of the four weeks or indeed what type of accupuncture is used. I couldn't tell if the second part of the article relates to the actual study and I'm not sure what electrical accupuncture is.
But the body in treatment should be treated as a whole, as the different systems of the body work with and against each other. With this in mind I could stimulate the piont/s that were stimllated and get a similar result, but stimulate other points on another meridian in either the creation or distruction cycle (TCMprinciples) and get the desired result. Why because i am treating the whole problem not just the symptom.

My next favorite bit I agree with a bit, as exercise can indeed help but drugs?

And of coursr my favouritest thing about that article is the ad for drugs that pops up in the ad

(OK I'll get down off my soapbox now )

The "money back guarantee" on the drugs was my favoritest part of this pseudo-study. It gave me such a feeling of security, knowing that I can always get my money back if the drugs didn't work.
