Anthony has had 4 interviews in as many days. He had a second interview today and was told it was between him and another guy and that they will be deciding in the next few days. Please hold positive thoughts that this all works out.
Thanks!
Hugs

Unfortunately no he hasn't heard anything yet. The second interview was on Wednesday. He has two other interviews on Monday [a 4th and 5th job possibility]. It's incredible how suddenly there is so much activity. We are both taking it as a positive sign that the energy has shifted and that getting a job at this time is inevitable.
Each job is in a very different area...totally different directions, actually. It's kind of interesting. Two of them are an hour and a half from home. Of course, I would love to move further from the NY metro area anyway. Ah well, first things first. |

We haven't heard anything from the job on Wednesday which is very discouraging. I'm trying to hang in there but it's tough after so many positive signs and now....this fear that we'll be disappointed once again. Anthony is VERY down. He came back from the second interview today angry. He drove an hour and a half only to find out that the job paid about 20-25k/year and involved even more travelling throughout Connecticut and Massachusetts.
The interview this morning was better, but it is a night job in the Bronx, ending at 11 or 12 midnight...yikes.
I am repeatedly reminding myself not to be deceived by appearances as someone wrote me today. A part of me feels like things could be very different this time tomorrow.
But we could use a boost if you could send some energy our way....
Many thanks,
Sylvia |

More energy coming your way... and I know how hard it is for the both of you to keep a positive mindset when it feels like you're being taking on a stroll through the orange groves. |

Yikes is right. Maybe it is time for a move for the two of you. That enviroment doesn't seem to be one that you both can flourish and grow in, you just seem stuck. Of course I will send energy your way. Tell my Gemini friend to keep his chin up , you too |

I just posted on the old forum. BTW, I truly appreciate the energy you both are sending !!
While Anthony still hasn't heard from the co. with which he had a second interview last Wednesday (very disheartening), he got a call a little while ago from the State University where he interviewed on 6/10 for a second interview on Friday at 10. This has us both feeling bouyed.
Personally I think the State University job is better for him based on his experience and temperament, benefits, time off and job security, even while the salary isn't as good. And because it's close to my folks it is a plus from that standpoint as well as it's got much more affordable housing.
But I'm sure he'd jump at either job (any job, truthfully)...even the one in the Bronx from 4 pm-12 midnight .
So the pilot light has NOT gone out of this flux of activity, thankfully
So please keep sending that positive energy. You're right Terri, after such a long time it is exceptionally difficult to stay optimistic, which certainly doesn't help attract good things this way. So the support is truly a great counterbalance
Hope to post something worth celebrating soon!
Hugs,
Sylvia |
