The day I came home from vacation I noticed that both of my ankles were swollen, the left one more so than the right. Anyone know what to do for this, or have any idea what might be causing this? I have never had this to happen and it just has me a little puzzled and glad it's my ankles and not my butt.

Too much Salt /Sodium intake? Sitting for too many hours? Not eliminating often enough?

Thanks Star. While at Florida I didn't drink as much fluids as I should have and I didn't urinate as much as I usually do but I kinda felt that the two were related. I have been taking it easy today and proping my feet up. My neighbor gave me a "fluid pill" to try to eliminate any extra ........fluid ...*ahem*....in my system.

well THAT was a real eye opener, good grief. I have been taking it easy today and it seems like the swelling has gone down a lot. Do you think this is something I should see a doctor about?

Good news. Ankles are back to normal size for now, nice to see the bones again, swollen skin is just plain fuggly to look at. Thanks for your input Star and Bobin
