Actively participating in your own healing is an important factor in the success of most alternative therapies, regardless of the health condition being treated. Our state of mind directly affects our state of health.
By taking ownership of your health care decisions, you are likely to have:
less anxiety prior to and during your treatment;
a better mental attitude, which can help to increase your body's own healing powers;
a speedier recovery because you are commited to actively participating in returning to a normal level of activity; and
the best recovery possible because you have realistic goals and work steadily to achieve them. |

Unfortunately most people are participating in their own slow death.
Some ways are faster than others.
I agree with your proposition, unfortunately many who have been beaten down with one illness or another (or succession of them)
have the challenge of finding motivation to participate..
Certainly easier said than done.

>> Unfortunately most people are participating in their own slow death.
Truth is, we're all "slowly dieing" with each passing day.
>> Some ways are faster than others.
Totally agree... we all have our weapon(s) of choice.

So true... and some feel they have no reason to be motivated.
I'm thinking about my sister, Cathi, right now. She's a walking miracle! I don't know if it's her children that have motivated her to face the challenges time and time again, or if it's the sheer fact that it thrills her to prove the medical community wrong! |
