I realize the forum is a bit slow, but common ya'll! Did Tracer hang up her queen of questions crown??
Ok, I'll start then...hmm... What sort of exercise does everyone do? Any?
I'm totally hooked on yoga, with pilates coming in a close second. I try to get in an hour a day of at least one of them. And I'm simply amazed with how much better I feel over all. I'm learning so much about my body that I never even thought about before. Like standing for example, who knew it was so hard when done properly? Plus it's increased my confidence, my emotional stability, I'm calmer with more energy, Good Stuff! And one of the best benifits is that I'm holding my chiro adjustments Much longer and I'm in less pain in general.
And on that note, it's about time for the baby to lay down for a nap, and I've probably annoyed ya'll enough with my thread hopping for my first visit back, so I'm gonna go do some seriously delicious stretching. Weee...

I've started in the last 3 months to decide to get myself changed for the beller, (less fast food, eating more fresh food etc). I've discovered Pilates in the last few months, I've found a pretty good dvd) and try and do it a few times a week. Also walking at lunch time and I try and ride my bike into work at least once a week. Lost a bit of weight, a few inches from the waist line and I'm feeling like I have lots more energy.
Hope not to go back to my old ways

Garry!!! *hugs* Long time... is your avatar a pic of your boys? Wow, bet they're keeping ya busy!
So which video are you using? I only have one, Pilates for Dummies. Actually it's pretty good, but if you can suggest another good one I wouldn't mind having some variety. Thankfully a Y opened up here a couple miles from my home last Jan and they offer a basic mat class. So I got to learn all the basic positioning in class and can carry that over to a home work out.
I find pilates to be pretty good for my personality since I tend to be a control freak. But then the yoga helps balance that with the letting go and surrendering. I'd like to start some sorta cardio work out, but I'm not there yet! I'm working on it...

I'm finally discovering the extent of what I can do with my TotalGym. Love having it at home so I don't have to get out of the house & can roll out of bed & exercise....no matter WHAT I look like!
I found a video that came w/ my TotalGym that had never been out of the plastic wrapper..LOL It was exactly what I needed...a structured exercise program - 6 to 8 minutes/day // 6 days a week. 3 exercises a day. But let me tell you, 3 sets of 8 of each exercise & my lil muscles are starting to protest, but I'm persevering through each of them.
TotalGym also has a Pilates video with a Pilates bar...allows one to do mat exercises on a moveable glide slope. It's interesting but the whole routine takes 45 min-1 hour. Might can incorporate that into my evenings a couple of nights a week, don't know yet. We'll see how long it takes me to get bored w/ the previous video.....
Anyway, I've lost 5 pounds, hope to jumpstart that ol metabolism o' mine & lose much more.....I know you're supposed to like yourself for who you are & I do, I really do.....until I catch sight of myself in a mirror...then I'm just plain disgusted!!!
Glad you're back Selena & good to hear from you Garry.
Laters all,

Good for you Bluie!! Most things seem to take about a month to make it a habit, so if you can just keep yourself going that long, maybe it'll become a regular routine for ya. I know I'm at the point that if I miss more than a day I feel totally out of it, so it seems to be it's own motivation now. Plus I like that I think of it as something just for "me". So much of my day is spent for others, this is a purely selfish endeavor that I don't even have to be guilty about. *grin*
Keep me updated on your progress. *smile*
