    Reaching a Balance

    reaching a balance in life

In striving for harmony and balance in one’s life, one must first look within. When you look within your heart and find peace, security and loave, you will then begin to manifest these traits in the world around you. These qualities are not all that you will find within yourself, nor should they be.

It is impossible to become completely balance when there are aspects of ourselves that we may not be aware of. Deep down inside of us there may be fears, worries, doubts, and angers that will act as subconscious blocks. These blocks can hold us back from reaching our full potential. It is not important to remove these blocks, as they are a necessary part of who we are, but rather come to understand them. By understanding these blocks we learn to understand, and accept, ourselves.

There are only two true emotions: Love and Fear. Everything we feel, from happiness to anger, stems from one, the other, or both. We would not be whole without either of thses emotions. Though we may seek always to find love, and vanquish our fears, we must remember that without one, the other could not exist. What is needed is a balance between the two. When we understand our fears, and when we are in harmony with love, then it becomes possible for us to move mountains!

Likewise, we must also strike a balance between thought and action. Thoughts are energy, and action is energy at work. Again, without one or the other, nothing would get accomplished. When there is balance therein, you will have focus, concentration, and an ability to achieve anything you desire.

Your physical body itself requires a balance of the right foods, proper exercise, and rest. Without enough of these things, in proper balance, the body will grow weak, lazy or malnourished. An over abundant supply of the wrong foods (including foods with chemical additives) will wreak havoc on our emotional, mental, and physical bodies. Moderation is not necessarily the key: Balance is.

Enlightenment comes to those who are in harmony with themselves, and the world around (and within) them. Being in harmony means having balance. When our emotional and mental, our physical and spiritual, our life and the life of the Earth are in balance, you are in harmony with all.

The process of becoming “balanced” is no easy task, especially in this day and age. We are constantly battling between what we believe to be right/wrong, and what others believe to be right/wrong. We consume, many times unknowingly, an entire range of indulgences that can overwhelm us, causing us to feel unbalanced. Whether the inbalance comes in the form of food, chemicals, or evne something as profound as a relationship or a personal goal, we have set for ourselves, the weight of it all can, and often does, come crashing down upon us.

Our physical senses let us see the world around us, just as our inner senses let us feel the many worlds within. To become aware of these worlds, these very powerful parts of who we are, we must learn to relax, and let those aspects of our self become tangible to our conscious mind. Examine how you feel, and why you feel the way you do about any given situation. Look at all your many faces and know them, love them, and respect them. Only then will you allow yourself to truly understand who and what you are: a being of magnificient depth and great personal power.
